Our Reopening Strategy

Dear Church Family,

We trust you are staying safe and staying healthy during COVID-19.  These have been difficult months and we miss being able to see our church family face-to-face.

As you may know, Governor Abbott released guidelines for opening up Texas including churches.

Last night, our church board met to discuss a plan for the Keene Church.

Our primary goal is to protect the fragile and vulnerable within our foreverfamily as we reinstate the physical assembling of ourselves together.  With this in mind, we are planning a phased reopening that the board expects to facilitate that goal. The Keene church comprises one of the largest regular gatherings in Johnson County. As part of the return to assembly we will continue online-only worship and study through the month of May with a special drive-in celebration mid-month. Our current plan is that we will begin with limited physical gatherings in June and gradually release restrictions as the situation improves.

The Keene church calendar and our media channels will continue to have the latest additional classes, bible studies, and events that we are offering. (www.keenechurch.org/calendar).

Pastor James has also recorded a video on this subject.  Please click this link to watch the video on youTube.

Please continue to pray for God's mercy, healing, and wisdom through these times.
