Changes to the Keene Church COVID-19 Mask Wearing Policy

Dear Church Family,

As you may have heard, the CDC recommendations have changed for those that are fully vaccinated. See https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html The summary of their recommendation from the CDC is:

  • Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

At this time, anyone should be able to get a vaccine that wants to get a vaccine. The COVID-19 new cases in Johnson County are significantly down as well (7-day average is 8 cases/day). As a result, the church board has approved a policy change to the Keene Church.

Effective Sabbath, May 22, 2021, the Keene Church has changed our COVID-19 policy so that mask wearing is optional, both indoors and outdoors.

Thank you for your patience, love, and support for all members of our forever family.
